A Little Bit About Angelo Sisco

On October 15th 2002, Angelo Sisco was involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident that changed his life forever. In an instant he went from being a 20 year old entrepreneur to someone fighting to save his leg and his way of life.

After 8 surgeries, two months in a hospital bed, 5 months of daily rehab and the encouraging news from his doctors that any kind of athletics is permanently out of the question, Angelo fell into a deep depression.

In 2009 he discovered CrossFit and everything changed once again. He had a new focus. He had a new purpose. He lost 100 pounds.  

In 2010 Angelo opened O’Hare CrossFit and then CrossFit Harwood Heights, his second gym, in 2015.

Angelo has consulted over 400 affiliates worldwide, co-founded Lifestyle Nutrition, is an international speaker on how to succeed as an affiliate owner, while coaching 2 CrossFit games athletes in the 2018 season.

In his free time, Angelo loves to travel, eat great food and spend time with the peoples closest to him.

EP#35 - Why Is Mindfulness Essential In Today’s World?

We are living in the most stressful times humanity has ever experienced.  With such huge technological advances, why would we be more stressed in our society?

 

Well, our attention spans continue to become shorter and shorter.  Our minds continue to have more and more racing thoughts.  We are more focused on the future or past than we are on the present.  We continue to live this hustle and bustle lifestyle that is only wearing us out more, creating more feelings of lack with fulfillment, control and joy.

 

How can we change all this?  How can we rewire our brains to slow down, be more kid like and enjoy the beauty of what life has to offer?

EP#2 - Creating a Connection Through Meditation…

Dalai Lama stated, "If we teach our children how to meditate, we would end violence within one generation."  Powerful statement but there is a lot of truth here.  When it comes to meditation, many people think of Buddhist monks who chant and sit for hours at a time.  

The truth is, you don't need to meditate for that long.  I practice meditation on a daily basis for 10-20 mins a day.  Some days I will go longer but this is the average.

In this episode, I will share with you how long meditation has been used in the history of humanity, the various types of meditations and the powerful benefitst of utilziing meditation on a daily basis in your life.

My goal is for you to create inspiration to meditate on a daily basis!
