The Mindful Experiment
EP#72 - Embrace Changes

EP#72 - Embrace Changes

January 31, 2019

One thing for certain is CHANGE.  Change is a constant law of creation and a law of the Universe.  Your human body is in a constant flux at all times.  Within 3-5 days, you have a new gastrointestinal lining (GI Tract).  Within 1 month, you have new skin.  Within 4 months, you have new blood.  The body is in a constant state of flux just as the Universe is.

Sometimes in life, we don't embrace change well.  Sometimes we don't allow for change to come in and we stay fixed in the world we live in.

In this episode, I talk about the freezing cold temps Chicago has been experiencing and how I embrace change with seasons, life and so much more.  Tune in below!

EP#64 - Creation in Bite Size Pieces

EP#64 - Creation in Bite Size Pieces

January 1, 2019

With today being the first day of the New Year, many people are focusing on New Year Resolutions, Goals, Visions and so forth.  But, why is it that 8% of people only succeed at their New Year's Goals/Resolutions?

What is a way to be part of the 8% club?

In this episode, I share personal stories of mistakes I had made in order to be where I am today.  I talk about how I always wanted to go BIG or GO HOME and how this mentality actually caused more turbulence in my life than ease.  It became a bigger distraction for me.

I will then share, what I do now to achieve my goals and how I used this one simple concept to help me achieve all the goals I laid out for 2018 and how I am 3x all my visions and goals for 2019 by continuing to do this one simple thing here.

"In life, is the small things, over a consistent period of time, that they become BIG things." ~ Dr. Vic Manzo Read the rest of this entry »

EP#63 - Be Your #1 Supporter

EP#63 - Be Your #1 Supporter

December 28, 2018

In life, who is your number one supporter?  Who is the person who supports you through your down times but celebrates with you in your ups?

Many times, we do this for sport athletes, celebrities, gurus, experts, etc.  We focus on them succeeding so much and pour so much of our own source energy, much more than what we do for ourselves.

When I see people who wear someone else's jersey, the question to ask yourself, "Does the person wear your jersey?"  I heard one time before from a speaker that he would never wear another player's jersey until the day he wears his.  And that made so much sense to me and summed up what many people do.  They focus on another person outside themselves but when it coms to supporting their dreams, their visions, their aspirations of life, joy, fun, etc., they don't put so much energy into it.

They don't put enough energy into themselves, their dreams, their marriage, their relationships, their health, their mental status, their spiritual growth, etc.  I see people get more excited about "their" team doing well but when you ask them how life is going, they don't respond the same way.

Remember, you only have so much energy to dump into things.  SUPPORT YOURSELF FIRST!

Tune into the podcast as I share the "HOWs" to support yourself and celebrate yourself FIRST before anyone or anything else.

What an amazing interview with Angelo Sisco.  We discuss many things about life, the ups, the downs, and how they have shaped and positioned us for success.  I am excited to share this interview with you

A Little Bit About Angelo Sisco

On October 15th 2002, Angelo Sisco was involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident that changed his life forever. In an instant he went from being a 20 year old entrepreneur to someone fighting to save his leg and his way of life.

After 8 surgeries, two months in a hospital bed, 5 months of daily rehab and the encouraging news from his doctors that any kind of athletics is permanently out of the question, Angelo fell into a deep depression.

In 2009 he discovered CrossFit and everything changed once again. He had a new focus. He had a new purpose. He lost 100 pounds.

In 2010 Angelo opened O’Hare CrossFit and then CrossFit Harwood Heights, his second gym, in 2015.

Angelo has consulted over 400 affiliates worldwide, co-founded Lifestyle Nutrition, is an international speaker on how to succeed as an affiliate owner, while coaching 2 CrossFit games athletes in the 2018 season.
